International Summer Seminar (ISS)
The International Summer Seminar (ISS) is a short-term study abroad program for students from partner universities as well as other cooperating universities around the world to experience campus life in Japan and interact with Japanese students as well as other international students. Through participating in the ISS, students will be able to not only cultivate their practical skills and knowledge, but also begin developing global awareness, form international networks, and make life-long friendships.

First ISS (2012)

Second ISS (2013)

Third ISS (2014)

Fourth ISS (2015)

Fifth ISS (2017)
The ISS generally consists of two main activities, lectures and “research visits”, to provide students with opportunities to be exposed to and learn about Japan’s legal, political, and social systems.
Potential research visit locations include the Nagoya District Court, the Nagoya High Court, the Nagoya District Public Prosecutors Office, the Aichi Bar Association, or Gifu Prison. Participants may also engage in independent research and create their own list of places to visit in order to get to know Japanese culture and society. Internships at law firms or businesses may also be an option depending on availability.

Culture Exchange Events
Many CAMPUS Asia participants, after graduating from university or graduate school, have gone on to work in a wide range of fields, including private companies in various industries, as public servants, and as lawyers. Even if they are not directly involved in discussions on the formation of an East Asian Jus Commune (Common Law), the legal and political knowledge they have gained through the CAMPUS Asia Program and the global sense they have cultivated are valuable assets which help them to become successful professionals and excel in their fields.
