School of Law

In addition to the traditional program mainly for Japanese students, the School of Law started to offer "Global 30: Program for Social Sciences", in which bachelors' degree can be obtained only through English-taught courses, in October 2011.
Also, selected students from the 1st grade of traditional program can join in "Campus Asia" program, in which we offer preparatory education for studying abroad in South Korea or China.

Graduate School of Law

In addition to existing programs as "Researchers' Training" for next generation scholars in law and political sciences, "Applied Law and Politics" to train professionals with higher research abilities, and Law School to train practicing lawyers, the Graduate School of Law offers "International Law and Politics" program to study Japanese Law and Politics from comparative point of view. By accepting students from regime changing countries, the program is practicing Japanese Law education in English to train future professionals in the field of legal assistance.
The Graduate School of Law will start "Leading Gradiate Schools" program in Cross-Border Legal Institution Design from October 2012. The program aims to train next generation professionals in the field of legal assistance through practical activities, in which both Japanese and foreign students share the education process to improve themselves.

Another Program

The School of Law has established Research and Education Centers for Japanese Law in the target countries of legal assistance, in cooperation with local universities. The selected students take classes in Japanese language and Japanese Law in the center, in addition to the usual program in local university.
Scholarship from the Japanese government to continue study in the Graduate School of Law, Nagoya University, will given to the selected students who finished the centers' program.
There established 4 centers by now, in Uzbekistan (Tashkent; with Tashkent State Institute of Law), Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar; with National University of Mongolia), Vietnam (Hanoi; with Hanoi University of Law), and Cambodia (Phnom Penh; with Royal University of Law and Economics). We are in cooperation with the center established by Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Vietnam.
